Three ways we help you decide

All three follow the PrOACT cycle. What changes is who is in the room.

Who's making the decision?

Roadmap Development

Translate your strategic priorities into an actionable plan.

You have high-level goals but are struggling to figure out how to get there. We guide you through the PrOACT cycle, quickly and iterating as needed, and help you bring other people’s input into your thinking in a meaningful way.

Who it’s for

Individual decision makers, or people who recommend decisions, who want to think an important choice through in a clear and transparent way.

How it works

A rapid pass through problem framing, objectives, alternatives, consequences and trade-offs, gathering feedback from others as you go.

You leave with

A roadmap, our word for an actionable strategy, with objectives for people and the planet alongside your usual ones.

Where this comes from

The PrOACT cycle (problem framing, objectives, alternatives, consequences and trade-offs) was first described in the book Smart Choices by Hammond, Keeney and Raiffa (1998). We also draw from Decision Quality by Spetzler, Winter and Meyer (2016) and Structured Decision Making by Gregory and colleagues (2012).

Group Facilitation

Every voice heard, and a plan the group aligns on.

You want to make a decision together, or gather meaningful input from a large group, but worry it will take too long. A neutral, experienced facilitator guides your team through a structured process designed to reduce bias and increase transparency.

Who it’s for

  • Working groups asked for recommendations, such as scientific or community advisory panels and internal task teams
  • Teams developing organizational strategy

How it works

The PrOACT cycle, run together and customized for your needs, with objectives for people and the planet alongside financial ones.

You leave with

Solutions the group develops and aligns on, better than any one member could reach alone.

“What I achieved in 1 day with Laura would have taken me weeks to get to otherwise - if at all.”
